Of Memories and Other Trinklets // Maidan Creative Center (Romania)

Maidan Creative Center (Romania)

A social theatre company sets out to document the lives of residents in a care home. They invite onstage a man shaped by loss and years of isolation. As the interview becomes increasingly intimate, tensions arise between his lived truth and the structures of performance. An unexpected intervention by another character disrupts the process, blurring the line between reality and fiction and exposing shared vulnerabilities. The stage turns into a space where memory, longing, and the limits of empathy are confronted. In the final moments, theatre and life intertwine, questioning how conventions are accepted and how personal memories are shaped, mediated, and remembered.
