You downloaded Tinder again? Want to be alone? When will the eternal search end? Do you want it to end? “It’s a MATCH - or will be - maybe -” reflects on perhaps the biggest dilemma facing young adults today. With the participation of the viewers, the experiment seeks to find a way through the ambivalent relationships between loneliness, intimacy and relationship dependency. Inspired by the lived experience of addicts and the performers, attendees will encounter the nature of the desire to connect and alienation encoded in online dating. As a counterpoint to online dating, the performance creates opportunities for face-to-face encounters. Intimacy meets the public, the imagined meets the real, spectator meets actor, actor meets spectator, spectator meets spectator.
