This year’s programme of the Euroregional Theatre Festival Timișoara is now official and out. The 9th edition of this international theatre showcase takes place, as usual, in the last week of May, between the 22nd and 29th. In the last few years, TESZT has become one of those necessary traditions that forms, researches and interconnects the theatrical movements and aesthetics of the region, and its positive effects have been clearly visible in the past years. Unlike other theatre festivals from Romania, TESZT is not just about great and new performances and colourful offs. It is special because of its unique atmosphere, and its ability to transform the Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre from Timișoara into a fertile platform for dialogues between artists from different cultures, different languages, and the public of the festival. It has become an open environment for all the artists and theatre lovers in the region.
Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre of Timișoara is happy to announce the 8th Euroregional Theatre Festival from Timișoara, also known as the TESZT that will take place from the 23rd until the 30th of May 2015. In the name of innovation and tradition this year’s festival will feature some of the more well-known names of the industry but also artists that might not be as familiar to the theatre loving people of the city, but are nonetheless greatly appreciated in other parts of the DKMT region. Thanks to the ever-changing character of the festival and its colorful programme, the audience will have the chance to encounter some of the region’s most exciting, controversial and highly appreciated directors, companies and theatre experts.
According to our tradition, in the last week of May the “Csiky Gergely” Hungarian State Theatre from Timisoara organizes the Euroregional Theatre Festival, the TESZT. This year we have reached the seventh edition. Between the 24th and 31th of May our Theatre is hosting some of the best performances in the DKMT region.
The Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre had started the selling of tickets and season tickets for the seventh edition of the Euroregional Theatre Festival Timisoara. For this year`s edition we prepared for you three kinds of ticket packages to choose from.
Under the past few years became one of the most important meeting point of different cultures, artists and theatre-lovers. The Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre from Timișoara between the 24th and 31th of May becomes the base of romanian, hungarian and serbian theaters and artisits, to creat a common paltform for them and for the festivals public to exchange experiences, to get to know the different theatrical and artistic directions and forms of the region.
